The Barclays Center in Brooklyn cost $1 billion to build, but that apparently doesn’t make it immune to a leaky roof.

The Nets and Miami Heat had to sit through a 31-minute delay Tuesday night when officials stopped the game because a leaky roof was dripping on the court. The referees made the call to delay the game with 1:47 to play in the first quarter after a puddle started to build on the court.

The Barclays Center via Twitter offered an explanation.

The leaky roof issue led to the quote of the night from Nets swingman Joe Johnson.

“I didn’t even know it was raining outside,” he told reporters, according to The Associated Press. “I was like ‘How the hell we got a leak if it ain’t raining?'”

The two teams returned to their respective locker rooms to wait out the delay before resuming the game. When play resumed, the Heat finished the first quarter on a 9-4 and eventually went on to win the game 95-91.
