You didn’t really think Charles Barkley was going to let Daryl Morey just call him out, did you?
Morey, the Houston Rockets general manager, went hard at Sir Charles on Tuesday night. The GM ripped Barkley for some of the things the NBA Hall of Famer said about the Rockets, and Morey didn’t hold back with this tweet.

Well, it didn’t take long for Barkley to shoot back. Just a few hours later on TNT’s “Inside the NBA,” Barkley was given his chance to respond, and he returned the shots with some of his own. Barkley ripped into Morey, calling him an “idiot” before tearing down the GM for his use of statistics. Morey is considered one of sports’ brightest minds and biggest pioneers when it comes to incorporating analytics especially in the case of on-court basketball decisions.
The whole rant is something else, especially as Barkley ends up making it real personal.
The Rockets are one of the Western Conference’s top teams. They’re currently locked into the No. 3 seed with a 36-16 record.
