Jordan Spieth and Annie Verret are high school sweethearts, so it’s no surprise that when he won the FedEx Cup on Sunday, she was right there to congratulate him.
It’s par for the course for the couple, who attended separate colleges in Texas but managed to maintain their relationship anyway. Now that Spieth’s season — one in which he became a two-time major champion — is over, let’s hope he takes Verret out on a nice date. That $10 million pay day has to be spent somehow, right?
