The New England Patriots will gun for a seventh consecutive straight-up win over Jacksonville when they play host to the Jaguars on Sunday as heavy 13 1/2-point favorites on the early NFL betting lines at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

The defending Super Bowl champions continued to roll along in Week 2, extending their current SU win streak to five games, 3-1-1 against the spread, with a 40-32 victory over the AFC East rival Buffalo Bills.

New England also enters Sunday afternoon’s Jaguars vs. Patriots betting matchup at Gillette Stadium riding an 11-game SU win streak over AFC South opponents.

Jacksonville continues to wallow as a distant 200/1 Super Bowl long shot. However, this young Jaguars squad showed promise in Week 2, topping the Miami Dolphins 23-20 to improve to 2-2 SU in its past four games and 5-2 ATS in its last seven.

The Bills will look to get back on track when they travel to Miami to face the Dolphins as three-point underdogs this week. The Bills have recorded mixed results in recent visits to South Florida, going 2-3 SU and ATS in their last five road matchups with the Dolphins, according to the OddsShark NFL Database.

Miami’s loss to Jacksonville continues a bout of inconsistency that dates to last season. The Dolphins are 4-6 SU in their past 10, 3-7 ATS, and are 1-2 SU and 0-3 ATS in three home games since their 22-9 win over Buffalo in Week 11 of last season.

The Green Bay Packers once again will be in the prime-time spotlight in Week 3, when they welcome the Kansas City Chiefs to Lambeau Field for a “Monday Night Football” showdown while pegged as 6 1/2-point chalk.

The Packers improved to 10-0 SU in their last 10 games at home with a 27-17 victory over Seattle on Sunday night, and they have won five of their last six against the Chiefs both SU and ATS.

The Chiefs ended a three-game SU and ATS road losing streak with a 27-20 Week 1 win in Houston, but they followed that up with a 31-24 loss to Denver last Thursday night.

In other NFL Week 3 betting action, the New York Jets look to improve to 3-0 when they face the Philadelphia Eagles as emerging 2 1/2-point favorites, while the Seahawks host the Chicago Bears as 15-point chalk, and the Broncos visit the Detroit Lions on “Sunday Night Football” as 2 1/2-point favorites.
