Greg Hardy: Cowboys Can Stop Eli Manning If They ‘Hit Him In The Mouth’

Greg Hardy will never learn.

The Dallas Cowboys defensive end immediately made headlines for the wrong reasons after returning from a four-game suspension for being found guilty of abusing his ex-girlfriend and throwing her onto a pile of guns. Hardy said he was ready to “come out guns blazing” against the New England Patriots in Week 5 and then proceeded to make inappropriate comments about Tom Brady’s wife Gisele Bundchen.

And now, Hardy chose his words poorly again when talking about how the Cowboys’ defense can stop New York Giants quarterback Eli Manning on Sunday.

“Hit him in the mouth,” Hardy said Wednesday, per the Dallas Star-Telegram. “The best thing for any team is to make the quarterback feel pain. You’ve got to be respectful of the rules of the game, and honestly you don’t want to hurt anybody, but to make him feel you is to bring his eyes down. You don’t want a quarterback like Eli Manning looking down the field, ever. Ever, ever, ever.”

Although Hardy went on to explain that they weren’t literally going to hit Manning in the mouth — we’d hope that would go without saying — it’s still another instance that shows how little remorse Hardy has for his actions.
