The betting line on Thursday night’s game between the Indianapolis Colts and Houston Texans shifted Thursday morning in favor of the Texans. We now know why.

Backup quarterback Matt Hasselbeck went to Houston expecting to start in place of the injured Andrew Luck, NFL Media’s Ian Rapoport reported, citing a source. Hasselbeck got the start last week against the Jacksonville Jaguars, as Luck was forced to the sideline with a shoulder injury.

Luck will test the shoulder pregame by throwing, according to Rapoport, but Hasselbeck is expected to make the start against Houston. There are health concerns surrounding Hasselbeck, too, as Rapoport points out. The 40-year-old reportedly went to the hospital for an IV due to an illness last week. Hasselbeck was listed as questionable for the game on Wednesday’s injury report but was also listed as a full participant in practice.
