Tony Romo To Tom Brady After Loss To Patriots: ‘See You In February’

While most people probably wouldn’t bet on the Dallas Cowboys being in Super Bowl 50, Tony Romo has other plans.

The Cowboys quarterback, who broke his left clavicle in the team’s 20-10 victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 2, isn’t expected back until at least Week 10. Dallas also is without wide receiver Dez Bryant, who could be back as early as next week after breaking a bone in his foot.

But Romo apparently doesn’t think that hurts their Super Bowl chances.

The Cowboys signal-caller was heard telling Tom Brady “see you in February” on Showtime’s “Inside the NFL,” after Dallas’ 30-6 loss to the New England Patriots on Sunday. The loss brought the Cowboys to 2-3 on the season.

It’s the type of comment you’d expect from a professional athlete, but it’s still a bold statement by Romo. The Cowboys are short-staffed and are led in the NFC East by a New York Giants team that actually looks good after a slow start. Not to mention, if they did maintain a playoff-worthy record without Romo, they’d likely have to get through teams like the Green Bay Packers and Arizona Cardinals before getting to the Super Bowl.
