Olivia Munn Goes Off On Media, ESPN Reporter For Aaron Rodgers Speculation

Olivia Munn played a reporter on the HBO show “The Newsroom,” and now she’s doing some media critiquing of her own.

The actress is dating Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers, and she’s not thrilled with how much coverage their relationship has received in the midst of the team’s recent struggles.

(Stupid) fans have begun to wonder if Rodgers’ relationship with Munn is to blame for his poor play of late, and some have even gone as far to say God is punishing Rodgers and the Packers becuase of Munn’s openness in regards to her and the quarterback’s love life.

Again, stupid.

Yet, Munn is fired up but not just at Internet commenters and anonymous Twitter users. She’s got a big issue with how the media has taken the story and run with it.

She even issued a statement of sorts.

Munn also has Rob Demovsky, who is ESPN.com’s Packers beat writer, in the crosshairs. Demovsky on Tuesday looked at “Five reasons why Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is struggling,” and wrote this as part of the No. 5 reason.

“A longtime NFL agent told me recently that when he sees one of his top-performing clients play differently, as Rodgers has of late, the first thing he wonders is if something is going on in his personal life,” Demovsky wrote. “There’s no indication that Rodgers’ relationship status has changed. Lions reporters said they spotted Rodgers’ girlfriend, actress Olivia Munn, at Lambeau Field on Sunday.”

Munn has since responded, and she wasn’t happy.

Of course, all of this will go away real quick if and when Rodgers starts playing better and the Packers start winning again. Until then, however, chalk this up to the nature of the beast.
