The New England Patriots need Keshawn Martin on Sunday night, and the wideout reportedly will play against the Denver Broncos.

Martin and Broncos receiver Emmanuel Sanders both are expected to be active in Week 12, sources told ESPN’s Adam Schefter. Martin saw an uptick in practice reps this week with the Patriots, a source told NESN.com.

Martin has missed five games with a hamstring injury and officially was listed as questionable Friday. He was acquired by the Patriots in a trade with the Houston Texans prior to Week 2. He had six receptions for 95 yards and a touchdown in three games before suffering the injury.

Patriots wideouts Danny Amendola and Julian Edelman already have been ruled out against the Broncos. Receiver Aaron Dobson was placed on injured reserve Thursday with an ankle injury.

Martin, Brandon LaFell and Chris Harper are the lone healthy Patriots receivers. Quarterback Tom Brady also can target tight ends Rob Gronkowski, Scott Chandler and Asante Cleveland, as well as running backs James White, LeGarrette Blount and Brandon Bolden.
