Wolfsburg and Gent will face off for the right to make history.
The Volkswagen Arena in Wolfsburg, Germany, on Tuesday will be the site of the UEFA Champions League Round of 16 second-leg meeting between the teams. Wolfsburg enters the contest with a one-goal lead on aggregate, thanks to its 3-2 win over Gent on Feb. 16. Gent, Belgian soccer’s standard bearer of the moment, must score at least twice to have a chance of overturning the hosts’ advantage.
Both clubs are in the Champions League knockout rounds for the first time in their respective histories and are looking to extend their fairy-tale runs into the quarterfinals.
