It’s funny how things work.
You’ve probably seen the photo of Katie Ledecky getting an autograph from Michael Phelps back in 2006. Ledecky was 9 years old at the time, and Phelps was coming off a dominant showing at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens.
Now, 10 years later, Phelps still is going strong and Ledecky is making noise of her own at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro. Thus, the two U.S. swimmers decided to recreate their famous pic, with Phelps playing the role of autograph seeker this time around.
You just never know when you’ll come across a future Olympian.
