Peabody Western (Mass.) remained the only unbeaten team in the New England Regional on Tuesday, scoring five runs over the final three innings to top Portsmouth (N.H.) 7-5 behind home runs from Nick Bona and Michael Petrosino.

Matt Correale pitched 2 1/3 innings of scoreless relief to earn the win for the Massachusetts state champs, allowing just two hits and striking out three in the process.

Charles Lehoux and Mikel Toar both homered for Portsmouth off Peabody starter Austin Batchelor, but hurlers Timothy Battye and Richard Riley couldn’t hold the lead.
