With the Giants' running game not turning in the kind of performances it produced frequently during the 2008 season, the last thing Tom Coughlin's offense needed was for one of his running back to suffer an injury. And on Wednesday running back Ahmad Bradshaw was listed on the pre-practice injury report, the New York Daily News reports.

Bradshaw is wearing a protective boot on his ankle after aggravating an old injury against the Buccaneers on Sunday. He ran for 104 yards in the game, the second best day of his young career.

"We expect that he will improve during the course of the week,"
Coughlin told the Daily News. "We’ll take it day by day and see where he is at the end
of the week. We fully expect that he’ll be able to go and play in the
game. But right now they’re treating it with a boot and lots of extra
time in the training room."

Bradshaw has rushed for 205 yards on 35 carries in three games this season. In 30 career games over three seasons, Bradshaw has averaged 6.0 yards per carry.
