Rex Ryan: Jerricho Cotchery Has Not Been Ruled Out For Sunday Jerricho Cotchery missed practice for the third straight day on Friday, but that doesn't mean he's officially ruled out for Sunday's matchup against Buffalo.

While some outlets have published reports that the dynamic wideout has already been ruled out — along with Brad Smith — head coach Rex Ryan is pleading the contrary.

"That's news to me," he told ESPN.com. "Do I expect them to play and all that, I'm not sure, but it's doubtful. I still want to make that decision probably a game-time decision."

Cotchery, who injured his left hamstring in practice last Thursday, sat out two days of practice last week before making one catch in Monday's loss to Miami. He has missed a single game since he became a starter in 2006.

"It's hard for me to deal with," Cotchery told ESPN.com of being injured. "It's very hard to sit on the sideline and see those guys go to work every day and for me to not go out there and do anything."

Smith hurt his quad during Monday's game.

If Cotchery cannot go, he will be replaced by David Clowney, who was benched earlier this season for flagging efforts during practice and for tweeting about his dissatisfaction with playing time.
