Former Boston College Eagles quarterback Dominique Davis announced Monday that he will be transferring to East Carolina, where he will have two years of eligibility.
The Lakeland, Fla. native is transferring to the ECU program from Fort Scott Community College. In 2008, the 6-foot-4, 198-pounder came off the bench midway through the second quarter against Wake Forest when starter Chris Crane went down with an injury. Davis then started the final three games of the year and tallied six touchdowns while completing 63 passes for 741 yards. Davis also had two touchdowns against Vanderbilt in the Music City Bowl.
"It's the best fit for me and the best offense for me," Davis told ESPN.com. "I've watched Patrick Pinkney play and I'd like to keep it going."
Davis said he's recently spoken with former Boston College players Josh Haden and Justin Tuggle, two players that have also decided to leave BC.
"I told them to keep their heads up," Davis said. "Every situation isn't for every person. I still watch all the games on Saturday. There's still some Eagle in me."
