Defenseman Johnny Boychuk is returning to the Bruins just in time for the most anticipated home game of the young season.

The B's recalled the 25-year-old defenseman from Providence of the AHL on Saturday after being assigned to the Black and Gold's farm team on Wednesday for conditioning purposes. In his two-game stint with the P-Bruins, he scored one goal.

In three games for the B's this season he has notched five penalty minutes.

Last season with the Baby-B's, Boychuck was the recipient of the Eddie Shore award, which goes to the AHL's most outstanding defenseman. He scored 20 goals and assisted on 45 more in 78 games.
