Former Cowboys kicker Nick Folk is looking for a job. According to the ProFootballTalk.com, Folk has tryouts with the Giants and the Jets in hopes of finding a new team.
The Cowboys dropped the kicker in mid-December after he struggled to steer the ball between the uprights.
Folk led the NFL with 10 missed attempts, converting only 18 of 28 field goals and missing 7 of his last 11. After missing a 24-yarder against the New Orleans Saints, Dallas cut Folk and replaced him with former-Cowboy Shaun Suisham.
Folk missed only 10 kicks in his 2 1/2-year career before this season's rough stint, and he was a Pro Bowler in his 2007 rookie season.
Folk could find a home in New York.
The Jets' Jay Feely is slated to become an unrestricted free agent. However, Folk would have to step up his game in order to fill Feely's shoes. The incumbent kicker hit 30 of 36 field goals and had 10 touchbacks for the Jets this past season.
Lawrence Tynes still has two seasons left on his five-year deal with the Giants. But Tynes struggled last season, much like Folk, and the G-Men were forced to look to other kickers such as Sam Swank.
