Brian Ickler to Make Roush Fenway Debut at Charlotte Roush Fenway Racing is set to introduce its newest driver.

Brian Ickler will be making his team debut this weekend in the Tech-Net Auto Service 300 at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the No. 16 Con-way Freight Ford.

The San Diego native has made three previous Nationwide Series starts, but this will be his first start at the 1.5-mile speedway.

In Ickler’s only previous start at Charlotte last season, he started 21st and finished 16th in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series.

"I’m thrilled to have the opportunity to be driving the No. 16 for Jack Roush," Ickler said. "It’s cool to be making my first start at Charlotte because I’ve driven there before in the Truck Series, so I’m familiar with the track, which makes things a little easier."

Ickler has been impressive so far in the NCWTS.  In 13 starts, he has four top-five finishes, five top-10s, and two pole awards.

"He is a very talented young driver, and it will be fun to see what he can do," said crew chief Eddie Pardue. "I’m looking for a good, solid weekend from this team and Brian."

Ickler will join his Roush Fenway Racing teammates this Thursday in Concord for the company’s annual Fan Day.  He will be on hand to sign autographs with teammates Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. and Colin Braun.

In 75 Nationwide Series starts, Roush Fenway Racing has 10 wins, 25 top-fives, 41 top-10s, 11 pole awards and 2,221 laps led at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.
