If you’ve ever been annoyed by answering a wrong number, be glad you’re not Rajesh Kumar.

Kumar, 24, has the distinct misfortune of having ex-Cavaliers head coach Mike Brown’s old cell phone number. The number was Brown’s at least through the 2007-08 season, and was transferred to Kumar in 2008.

When he first acquired the number, Kumar, originally from India, was new to the United States and said he was not familiar with Brown or the Cavaliers until he started getting calls for the coach.

"After about a week, I realized he must be a celebrity," Kumar told FanHouse.com."I wondered who this Mike Brown was. So I Googled him."

Kumar received occasional calls or text messages meant for Brown, usually after Cavs games, over the past couple of years. But since Brown’s firing from Cleveland, his phone has been ringing off the hook.

"I have gotten over 150 phone calls since [Monday]," Kumar told the site on Tuesday. "I took a nap and I woke up and I had 37 voice mail messages."

He deletes all of his voicemails now and said that anybody actually calling for him will call back if it’s important.

Despite the added hassle, Kumar has no plans to change his phone number.

"It will die down," he said.
