Former NASCAR driver James Neal was arrested — again.

Within hours of his early release from Orange County Jail, where he served a brief sentence for misdemeanor evasion and reckless driving, Neal was arrested on suspicion of attempted rape and false imprisonment, according to The Los Angeles Times.

Sheriff’s deputies responded to reports of a fight at the apartment of a Lake Forest woman early Monday. The woman, who knows Neal, said he attempted to rape her and would not leave, the Times reports.

Last month, Neal led a high-speed chase down the 5 Freeway when police tried to pull him over for not having a front license plate. The police stopped pursuit for safety reasons, but later arrested him on the side of the road when his car’s engine blew out.
