Red Sox right fielder J.D. Drew was scratched from Tuesday night's lineup in Anaheim with tightness in his left hamstring.

Though the team did not say when exactly Drew tweaked his leg, it might have been in the ninth inning of Monday night's game. Drew hit a two-run double, advanced to third on a wild pitch and then tried to score on another errant pitch. Drew was called out at the plate, though his foot-first slide into home clearly beat the tag of pitcher Rich Thompson.

Drew played in 90 of 100 games before Tuesday, suffering some minor lower-body injuries along the way. He missed five of six games in June after tweaking his right hamstring on June 18, the night that Manny Ramirez returned to Fenway Park.
