There could be a worthy bat heading to the AL East by month's end.

With Cliff Lee all but officially in pinstripes, another hot name on the trading block is still out there in Jayson Werth, and according to the New York Post, the Red Sox, Yankees and Rays have all expressed interest in the Phillies' 31-year-old outfielder.

If the defending NL champions put Werth, a free agent at the end of this season, on the market later this month, all three AL East powerhouses would likely put a full-court press on the Philly front office as each team needs the slugging outfielder.

"He is the piece for all those teams," a person not affiliated with any of the four teams involved told the Post.

Werth is making $7.5 million this year and is batting .277 with 13 homers and 48 RBIs.
