Albert Haynesworth Making Manny Ramirez Look Like Warrior

Albert Haynesworth Making Manny Ramirez Look Like Warrior Albert Haynesworth is kind of — just a little bit — of a disgrace. The guy makes more money than some countries, yet he whined all offseason that he doesn't like the Redskins' system. Now he can't pass his conditioning test because his knee hurts.

Oh, and an MRI revealed that his knee isn't injured.

That part of it is a familiar story to Boston sports fans, who watched Manny Ramirez sit out a few games in July of 2008 with a knee injury. When he forgot which knee hurt, the Red Sox made him take MRIs on both knees — neither of which turned out to have any real damage.

Still, Haynesworth has somehow made Manny look like a decorated warrior with the way the 350-pounder is going about his business. Despite the fact that he signed a $100 million contract with Washington last winter, he's showing he has little or no dedication to being a top performer.

Say what you will about Manny, but at least he stayed in shape.

With the militant Mike Shanahan running the show in Washington, you'd think there'd be a better way to get this done. But as is evident by Haynesworth's light jogging over the past week, superstars these days hold all the chips.

But fear not, Redskins fans: Haynesworth will be in another contract year in 2016. You can bet he'll be showing up in shape then.
