Randy Moss Unhappy With Loss Despite Burning Darrelle Revis With One-Handed Catch

EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. — Randy Moss didn’t just escape Revis Island. He bombed the damn thing into a sandbar.

Moss torched Jets cornerback Darrelle Revis for a 34-yard touchdown Sunday during the Patriots' 28-14 loss to the Jets at the New Meadowlands, and Moss made one of the most eye-popping one-handed catches to do so. He reached up with his right hand in the back of the end zone and turned his fingertips into a vacuum. Moss' appendix was more useful on the play than his left hand.

However, Moss wasn’t all that happy after the game, as the loss stood out far more than the play that will undoubtedly wind up on the NFL's highlight reels for the 2010 season.

"My job is really to go out here, move the ball and score touchdowns, and I don’t think I did a good job of that [Sunday]," said Moss, who only caught two of the 10 passes thrown in his direction. "Regardless of the touchdown, the one-handed catch — my teammates commended me on it — we didn’t win the game, so I don’t really care too much about it. We lost the game."
