All three Roush Fenway drivers still involved in the Chase for the Sprint Cup had top-25 finishes in Sunday’s Sylvania 300 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway in Loudon.

Clint Bowyer, who was the last driver to earn a qualifying spot in the Chase, barely edged out Tony Stewart to win the race on the final lap. Stewart, though, blew a golden opportunity when ran out of fuel on the last lap before finishing 24th.

The three Roush Fenway drivers — Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth — all experienced varying degrees of success on Sunday.

Edwards, who entered the race in ninth place in the Chase Cup standings, placed 11th, the best finish of any Roush Fenway driver on the day.

Biffle finished 17th after entering the race in 12th place, and Kenseth finished 23rd after entering the race in the 11th spot in the rankings. As the two bottom-ranked qualifiers headed into the Chase postseason, Biffle and Kenseth have work to do if they want have any championship hopes.

For Bowyer, the Sylvania 300 represents his first win in 88 races, and gives him a dramatic boost in the Chase Cup standings. Bowyer also won the Chase’s first postseason race in 2007 — a race that also took place at New Hampshire Motor Speedway.

The next race in the Chase for the Cup postseason will be held at the Dover International Speedway on Sunday, Sept. 26.
