What is Your Favorite Holiday to Watch Baseball On? Every day is a good day to watch baseball, but when the government is officially telling you that you should be at a baseball game instead of at work, that's even better.

While baseball is the only major sport that isn't around during Thanksgiving and Christmas, it's lengthy season does coincide with a number of holidays.

Right as baseball season starts, Easter happens, but April also features another holiday — one nearly as American as the sport itself. Patriots' Day, a celebration of the Battles of Lexington and Concord, takes place on April's third monday, and always features a Red Sox game at Fenway Park.

But what holiday is even more American? There's only one answer: The Fourth of July.  America's day of independence falls about half-way through the season, just as playoff races are beginning to take form.

By the time Labor Day rolls around, pennant races are in full swing. Every game means so much when there are only 30 left.

So, what is your favorite holiday to watch baseball on?
