Who Has Been the Bruins' MVP So Far This Season? Expectations were high for this Bruins team, and after two weeks of hockey, the results have kept pace.

For the most part, it’s been a team effort for a Bruins team that overcame an ugly, disappointing loss in the season opener to rifle off four straight wins on their way to a 4-1 record to open up the season.

And while it’s been a team effort, a few have stood out a little more than everyone else.

Goalie Tim Thomas has done his best “Remember me?” act and has stolen the show between the pipes for the Bruins. The veteran goalie got the nod in the second game in Prague and hasn’t given it up yet. He’s 4-0 already with a minuscule 0.75 goals against average and looks like the goalie who won the Vezina just a couple of short years ago.

Offensively, Nathan Horton has not shied away from high expectations. The veteran winger was brought to Boston to score, and so far, he’s done just that. He’s scored four goals in four games to go with three assists. Joining Horton on the top line is David Krejci who looks fully recovered from offseason wrist surgery. He’s hit the (ice) running with six points in four games, and had tallied a point in every game until he was held pointless in Thursday’s 4-1 win over the Capitals.

The captain, Zdeno Chara, has been strong for the Bruins as well. While he hasn’t done much offensively, Chara has done an incredible job at the other end of the ice. Most notably, he held Capitals sniper Alex Ovechkin pointless while the Bruins swept a home-and-home series with one of the best teams in the game.
