Liverpool not only lost their match on Sunday, but they may have lost Jamie Carragher for quite some time.

According to the LFC website, the veteran defender likely suffered a dislocated shoulder.

"We think Jamie has disclocated his shoulder which is a real blow for us and for him," Hodgson said following the Reds' 2-1 loss to Tottenham. "I don't know at this stage how long Jamie will be out for but I would think it will be quite long because it's a serious injury."

The injury couldn't come at a worst time either for LFC. The loss of Carragher means the loss of even more veteran leadership as captain Steven Gerrard continues to miss time to injury. Hodgson referred to the duo as "the lifeblood of the club," following the match.

Carragher will be reevaluated on Monday.
