Eagles center Mike McGlynn claimed that Washington safety LaRon Landry spit on him twice during Philadelphia's 59-28 win over the Redskins on Monday night, according to Fanhouse.

"We were fired up anyway and they said some things that got us even more fired up and they did some things that fired us up," McGlynn said. "Landry came in and spit in my face and that really fired us all up. We all want to play the game with all the respect in the world.

"When people come out and disrespect you like that. … I think there just has to be more respect for the game than that. That's just a terrible thing. We just looked at it as, 'Hey, let's keep pouring it on them.'"

Landry denies the accusations.

"When I would ever be in touch with the center?" said Landry, who had nine total tackles. "I never blitz the 'A' gap. When would I ever be in the 'A' gap? Extra points, I'm at the end. With that said, that's your answer. I don't know if they're trying to elevate a problem with no reason. The center, I keep my mouth shut about him."

Just last week, Dolphins linebacker Channing Crowder claimed Ravens fullback La'Ron McClain spit in his face during their Week 9 matchup.
