FOXBORO, Mass. — It would seem to be an amazing feat if Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers played Sunday against the Patriots.

Rodgers, who suffered a concussion early in Sunday's loss to the Lions, did not practice Wednesday, and Packers head coach Mike McCarthy said he doesn't anticipate Rodgers to practice Thursday, either. McCarthy said there is a "slim chance" Rodgers can practice Friday, and the Packers might have to wait until Saturday to make a decision on Rodgers' status.

Rodgers is going through the normal battery of tests after suffering his second concussion of the season, and McCarthy said Rodgers couldn't even sit through meetings or film sessions Wednesday with his teammates.

Rodgers, a long-shot MVP candidate, has completed 65.4 percent of his passes this season for 3,289 yards, 23 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. He has also rushed 55 times for 309 yards (5.6 yards per carry) and four touchdowns.

If Rodgers can't play, Matt Flynn would start at quarterback. Flynn has only attempted 46 passes in three career seasons, and he's never thrown a touchdown.
