Claude Julien Satisfied With Tyler Seguin's Response to Healthy Scratch WILMINGTON, Mass. — Tyler Seguin faced the first real taste of adversity in his young NHL career on the Bruins' recently completed road trip.

He was a healthy scratch for the first time for Wednesday's game in Buffalo but was reinserted into the lineup Thursday in Montreal. Bruins coach Claude Julien was impressed with how the No. 2 overall pick responded in his return.

"He jumped in there and seemed fresh," said Julien at Ristuccia Arena on Friday after giving the club the day off from practice. "That was the most I've seen him involved. He was really excited. You hope that keeps going because he's got so much going for him. He's a player that I think could be a real impact player without a doubt in the future."

Seguin picked up an assist on Boston's second goal in a 4-3 loss to the Canadiens and was a plus-2 in 10:42 with two shots and a hit after spending the previous night getting a look at the game from a different perspective up in the press box.

"He sat up with [general manager] Peter [Chiarelli] and Jarvy [assistant coach Doug Jarvis] during the game and just sat and talked," said Julien. "Those kinds of things are really good for him. I know it's been done in the past and in other places, and for a young player it's really beneficial. I thought he came back and played really well and I was really happy with his game."
