Vote: Who Is the Best Quarterback to Come Out of Boston College? Boston College has been known as O-Line U for the abundance of high-quality offensive linemen it has produced over the years.

But this weekend, BC will be well-represented under center, not just alongside center, as a pair of former Eagle quarterbacks in Matt Ryan and Matt Hasselbeck will be leading their respective offenses in the second week of the NFL postseason.

Ryan, the third overall pick in the 2008 NFL draft, led the Atlanta Falcons to a 13-3 record in 2010 and captured the No. 1 seed in the NFC. Although he's just in his third season in the league, Ryan's believed by many to be one of the most promising young quarterbacks. He put up career highs this season as he threw for 3,705 yards, 28 touchdowns and just nine picks.

Hasselbeck, a sixth-rounder back in 1998, is in his 12th NFL season. He recently led the Seahawks to an NFC West title (despite a 7-9 record) and pulled off one of the biggest upsets in postseason history when he led the Hawks to a win over the defending Super Bowl-champion Saints in Seattle last weekend. Hasselbeck has been the Seahawks' starter since 2001 and led the franchise to five NFC West titles as well as the club's first Super Bowl berth in 2005, where they fell to the Steelers 21-10.

Another legendary BC slinger — and the school's only Heisman Trophy winner — made his mark north of the border in Canada. Doug Flutie, although spending 12 years in the NFL, is a CFL legend and was even named the greatest CFL player of all time by TSN in 1996. In eight seasons in the CFL, beginning in 1990, Flutie won three Grey Cups, six Most Outstanding Player Awards and three Grey Cup MVP awards, and ended with a career record of 99-27 as a starter.

Although he was drafted by the Bears in the 11th round of the 1985 draft, his NFL career was resurrected when the Bills signed him in 1998. Three teams, over 80 touchdowns and well over 14,000 passing yards later, the Natick, Mass., native retired as a member of the New England Patriots in 2005.
