Tim Thomas is far and away the best goaltender in the National Hockey League this season, and he's being rewarded with his third All-Star selection.

He'll be joined by teammate Zdeno Chara, named to the team for the fifth time of his career.

Though 18-year-old Tyler Seguin isn't quite ready for the All-Star Game, he was named as one of 12 rookie participants in the SuperSkills competition.

Thomas leads the league with a 1.84 goals-against average and .944 save percentage. His league lead in save percentage is so great, in fact, that the difference between first and second in the league (Thomas' .944  to Ondrej Pavelec's .930) is the same as the difference between second and 20th (Ilya Bryzgalov has a .916 mark).

Thomas earned wins in his previous two All-Star Game appearances.

Chara has 18 points from the blue line in 41 games to go with his plus-15 rating. His stats are rarely gaudy, but his ice time certainly is. The B's captain averages 26:38 per game (third in the NHL) and is a contributor on both the power play and penalty kill.

Seguin has six goals and eight assists as he learns the ropes of the NHL.
