The highly anticipated Andy Carroll-Newcastle reunion may have to be put on hold.

The Liverpool forward, who left Newcastle on Jan. 31 in a big-money transfer, may not be able to play against his former club due to a knee injury.

"We don't know if he'll be fit," manager Kenny Dalglish said Thursday, according to ADifferentLeague.co.uk. "I don't think nature knows it's his old club Newcastle, so if he's not fit, he's not fit. For Andy, it's a poignant game but if he's not fit, he's not fit. We can't do anything about that."
