90+2, West Brom 2-1:

Meireles takes a shot from distance, saved well by Carson for a corner.

Multiple Reds get their head to the corner, but it goes wide for a goal kick — great chance.

Carlos Vela comes on to waste a little time.

89', West Brom 2-1:

Cole on for Kuyt

Thomas — Yellow Card — Heavy challenge on Skrtel.

Yellow Card — Reina — Bringing Odemwingie down in the box

Thomas sees a yellow card for a heavy challenge on Skrtel.

Joe Cole is called on.

A longball forward is sent near Odemwingie and Kyrgiakos.

Kyrgiakos falls and Odemwingie is free on goal. He dribbles around Reina, and forces Reina to tackle him.

Reina sees yellow and Odemwingie has won another penalty.

84', 1-1:  Liverpool finally has some room to counter, but the ball for Suarez results in an offside flag — likely a poor call upon replay review.

The Baggies come right back, with Odemwingie holding up play in the final third.

Fortune gives the ball back to Liverpool, but eventually, it is right back at Odemwingie's feet.

This time, Kyrgiakos challenges him well.

The ball goes all the way to Carson, and West Brom builds from its own half.

A great cross finds Thomas in space, and his shot towards the far post is saved very well by Reina.

81', 1-1: Odemwingie again gets into the area with the ball, but his shot is blocked.

It falls to West Brom, and is sent back in to Fortune, who gives it to Odemwingie, but he can't turn.

Liverpool, though, cannot find a clearance. Fortune comes up the right, but his touch lets him down and he gives up a goal kick.

78', 1-1: Jame Carragher makes an exceptional block on an Odemwingie effort from close range after Fortune danced through the defense.

After the clearance, Fortune again finds Odemwingie in the area, and his shot/cross across the face of goal barely misses the target for a Liverpool throw deep on their left.

West Brom gets it right back, and Thomas goes down right above the area — but he wasn't remotely fouled.

Liverpool takes a spell of possession, but West Brom come right back — they've seen an incredible amount of possession in the second half.

Cox off for Fortune.

West Brom builds from the back, but sends a longball straight to Skrtel, who sends it forward, where Liverpool controls in midfield.

Suarez is fouled on the left in the final third — pushed in the back in the midst of a turn.

The set piece, however, comes to little effect.

Meireles floats one in, which Carroll flicks to the far post, but nothing can be done with it.

Odemwingie, who has been incredible, makes another lengthy run and puts one on target, saved well by Reina.

63', 1-1:

Goal — Brunt — Penalty off Kyrgiakos foul of Odemwingie (fair call)

West Brom continues their seige, and Odemwingie wins the ball right above the area in the center.

He turns around Kyrgiakos and is brought down just inside the area — it's a penalty, a call that had to be made.

Brunt converts the spot kick as Reina guesses wrong, 1-1.

60', Liverpool 1-0: West Brom comes right back, as a poor ball gives it to Mulumbu in the final third. He shoots, but his good effort hits his own man and goes for a corner.

Suarez commits a foul deep in the West Brom half off the goal kick.

51', Liverpool 1-0:

Goal — Skrtel — Header off Meireles corner

48', 0-0: West Brom comes back right on the front foot, as Odemwingie finds Cox in the area, and he blasts one on target — saved very well by Reina, perhaps the best chance of the game other than Skrtels near own goal.

Liverpool comes forward, but Shorey finds himself on the counter.

He gets it to Odemwingie, but he holds up play, and West Brom keep possession in the Liverpool half.

Eventually the Reds clear with a throw on the left.

Half, 0-0:

Four minutes added.

Brunt is teed up for the free kick, but he is blocked well.

Liverpoool enjoys some possession in the West Brom half, and Scharner concedes a deep throw on the right.

Carragher takes it short, and it is cleared — half time.

43', 0-0:

Wilson — yellow card — holding Odemwingie, who was behind everybody.

West Brom gives up a Liverpool throw in midfield, and the Reds see the attacking half for the first time in quite a while. They give it back in midfield, but a through ball for Odemwingie is cut out.

West Brom comes right back down the left, sending a cross in.

It is cleared, and Suarez makes a lengthy run into the final third, but he can't find Suarez.

At the other end, Odemwingie is held by Wilson on a longball — and given a yellow.

40', 0-0: Reid sends a cross in from the right as West Brom continue their assault forward, but the ball is beyond everybody.

At the other end, Suarez gets the ball in the area, but he is cut out.

The ball forward toward Carroll results in another poor foul by the striker, and he receives a final warning for his actions.

West Brom has begun to come into the game on the attack, holding possession on the right and bringing the ball into the area. Wilson clears to the side for a throw.

28', 0-0:

Scharner — Yellow Card — Bad challenge on Spearing

Carroll — Yellow Card — Late lunging challenge

A ball into the area finds Meireles on the left, and he slips it towards Carroll.

Carroll dives in on the ball, challenging poorly, and he is given a yellow for the lunging, late challenge. It could've been more.

25', 0-0:

Wilson on for Agger — another injury.

Liverpool comes forward down the right, but they quickly retreat back to midfield.

Daniel Agger now appears to be experiencing a knee injury, and he calls for the trainer.

Carroll is again fouled very hard in the Baggies half, and he wins a free kick from the aerial challenge.

The supporters at the Hawthorns aren't too pleased about the situation.

13', 0-0: Liverpool builds from their own half before coming up the left via Agger and Suarez. The cross into the middle can't find Carroll, and West Brom clears and finally enjoys a spell of possession in midfield.

Agger commits a foul in a dangerous area on the right of the box.

Reina wins the ball at the far post.

10', 0-0: A Brunt free kick in the attacking half comes to no effect, as the Baggies are whistled for a foul — another on Carroll, who the Baggies seem to be looking to be physical with.

Suarez has a run into the area, but he is cut out on the right side.

7', 0-0:

Kyrgiakos for Johsnon — Hamstring injury, Agger slots into left back

A ball is sent over the top for Brunt, and Glen Johnson comes up lame chasing him down the right. He looks to have tweaked his hamstring — he goes down and doesn't get back up.

4', 0-0: Liverpool start off on the front foot. They win a corner, which Meireles sends into the area well.

Carroll heads it to the far post, where Kuyt gets his head to it, but he can't beat Carson.

A turnover in midfield leads to a lengthy runout for Suarez, but he can't slip it into Carroll in the area.

Carroll has gone down three times in the area  already in the opening minutes. West Brom may be playing with fire.

9:30 a.m.: There's no denying what will be at stake when Liverpool takes the field against West Brom at The Hawthorns.

Roy Hodgson will have a chance to vindicate himself — if he hasn't already with the turnaround that he has orchestrated for West Brom.

Deep in a relegation battle when he took the helm, Hodgson's side hasn't lost in their last five, a record one better than Kenny Dalglish's Liverpool.
