Zdeno Chara Making Trip to Montreal, Status for Game 3 Still Uncertain BOSTON — The status of Bruins captain Zdeno Chara for Game 3 remains uncertain, but he is making the trip to Montreal with the club on Sunday.

Chara missed Saturday's 3-1 loss to the Canadiens on Saturday after being hospitalized for dehydration on Friday night. He took the ice for pregame warm-ups, but was ruled out by the medical staff after continuing to suffer symptoms following the warm-up.

"[There is] no further update on Zdeno," Bruins coach Claude Julien said Sunday afternoon at the Garden before the team departed for Montreal. "He's been in touch with our doctors and our medical staff. He will be traveling with the team, and that's basically all I will be saying about that."

Chara's teammates also didn't have any updates on the captain's status, but were hopeful he will be back in the lineup on Monday.

"I haven't heard anything," forward Rich Peverley said. "To be honest, I didn't even know [Saturday] what was going on. Hopefully he's better, and hopefully he's ready to play."

Julien was equally noncommittal about making any other lineup changes as the Bruins try to dig out of a 2-0 hole in the series. Instead, he took inspiration from the coach who knocked the Bruins out of last year's players, citing Philadelphia coach Peter Laviolette's tight-lipped approach to revealing information about his team during the postseason.

"I guess I'll take a page out of Peter Laviolette's book," Julien said. "Last night [he said] we don't discuss lineups, we don't discuss our goaltenders and we don't discuss our injuries. I like that and I'll give him credit for that one."

Shane Hnidy filled in for Chara but played just 4:13 over seven shifts, picking up five penalty minutes for a fight with James Wisniewski after Wisniewski had hit Peverley into the boards from behind. Hnidy would come out if Chara is cleared to play, but the Bruins could also make changes up front. Rookie Tyler Seguin has yet to play in the series, and the Bruins also have a host of extra players on hand for the playoffs, including forwards Jordan Caron, Zach Hamill, Trent Whitfield, Jamie Arniel and Lane MacDermid.

Julien didn't specify exactly which extra players would accompany the team to Montreal, answering only "our roster that you've seen" when asked who would make the trip.
