Jacoby Ellsbury Leading Off, Kevin Youkilis Scratched, As Red Sox Take on Angels Jacoby Ellsbury is in the lineup and batting leadoff for the Red Sox on Tuesday night, one day after leaving a game early with a bruised left knee.

Ellsbury departed Monday's 9-5 win over the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim after an awkward collision with catcher Jeff Mathis at home plate. Ellsbury had two hits and two stolen bases at the time, and owns an 11-game hitting streak, the longest current run in the American League.

The Sox center fielder is batting .383 (18-for-47) during the run.

Ellsbury originally was scheduled to be followed by many of the usual suspects as Boston prepares to face Angels righty Dan Haren for the second time this season. However, Kevin Youkilis was scratched minutes before first pitch with an illness.

Dustin Pedroia, whose 13-pitch at-bat against Angels starter Jered Weaver on Monday fueled Boston's win, is 0-for-12 with five strikeouts against Haren. David Ortiz is 7-for-20 (.350) with three homers against him.

Ortiz homered last night for the first time in a month. He was moved into the cleanup spot to take over for Youkilis. Jed Lowrie was moved from shortstop to third base, and Marco Scutaro was the late replacement at short.

With Jon Lester on the mound, here is the complete, and updated, Red Sox lineup:
