James Harrison: 'The People Making the Rules at the NFL Are Idiots' After the Steelers won the Super Bowl in 2009, James Harrison was not interested in going to the White House to meet President Barack Obama. The reason? Had the Cardinals won and the Steelers lost that Super Bowl, "[Obama] would have invited Arizona."

The guy is not a genius.

Yet, the 33-year-old linebacker is right in occasionally feeling that he his targeted by the league in its quest to crack down on violent hits to the head. While Harrison has undeniably been at fault for several dangerous hits, his plays are reviewed by the league likely more than anyone else, and they often result in fines.

So, you can bet he wasn't happy to learn that the NFL has approved new rule changes aimed at limiting dangerous hits. The league also might decide to fine teams that employ players who receive multiple penalties or fines for such hits.

"I'm absolutely sure now after this last rule change that the people making the rules at the NFL are idiots," Harrison tweeted on Tuesday night.

That oughtta ensure that those fines will keep on coming.
