Just days after adding Charlie Adam from Blackpool, Liverpool is showing that they are far from finished on the transfer market.
Fanatix reports that the Reds are after winger Michel Bastos. The Brazilian star, 27, plays for Lyon in Ligue 1. Bastos was close to playing for Juventus, but their proposed deal fell through. Lyon is asking for £12 million for Bastos, and Liverpool appears willing to make an offer.
Bastos brings some versatility in his ability to play both left-wing and left-back. Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish has expressed a desire to improve both positions for his club.
Bastos scored five goals and contributed four assists for Lyon in the 2010-11 Ligue 1 season.
