Adam McQuaid doesn't have too much to be upset over lately. The Bruins blue-liner has enjoyed the summer as a Stanley Cup champion and was lucky enough to compete in a boat race with royalty.

Kate Middleton and Prince William were in Prince Edward Island over the weekend, McQuaid's home, competing in a dragon boat race. McQuaid rowed in Middleton's boat that was beaten by Prince William's.

"Even though I lost the race, some people might argue I won because I got to be in her boat," McQuaid told the Guardian, Prince Edward Island's main publication.

Days later, William and Kate played in a street hockey game in the Northwest Territories of Canada, according to Fox Sports. The two were presented with custom jerseys prior to the start of the game.

Kate, who opted not to play due to her high-heeled skates, dropped the ball to start the game while Prince William went 0-for-3 in a shootout.
