Saints fans who were sad to see Reggie Bush head to Miami on Thursday didn't have to wait long for someone to come in and fill his place.

According to FoxSports.com, the Saints have signed running back Darren Sproles to a four-year deal. The terms of the deal aren't yet known.

The 28-year-old Sproles will be called upon to fill many of the duties that Bush handled before being traded to Miami on Thursday. Like Bush, Sproles is a good returner, but his most dangerous asset is his pass-catching ability out of the backfield.

Sproles caught a career-high 59 passes in 2010 with the Chargers, and in 2008 he set a career high with five receiving touchdowns.
