Report: Red Wings Sign Defenseman Ian White to Two-Year Deal

Ian White is changing sweaters once again. The defenseman is headed to Detroit on a two-year deal with the Red Wings worth $5.75 million, TSN.ca reports.

This will mark the fifth team that White has played for in the last 18 months. The 27-year-old has made stops in Toronto, Calgary, Carolina and San Jose over the course of his NHL career.

White will be paid $2.875 million per season as part of the deal.

White was drafted in the sixth round of the 2002 NHL draft. He scored four goals and racked up 22 assists in 77 games last season.
