We all know that Bostonians love a good parade, and they'll get to see one of a different sort rolling through the streets of the city on July 14.

A transporter truck parade will kick off Roush Fenway Racing's Second Annual Fan Appreciation Day, which will culminate with a celebration with the NASCAR team's drivers and owners at City Hall Plaza.

All Roush Fenway drivers and cars will be present at the event, including big names such as Carl Edwards, Greg Biffle and Matt Kenseth. The free event will feature autograph signings, car displays and an iRacing race simulator, which gives fans a chance to experience the excitement of racing for themselves.

After partnering with Fenway Sports Group in 2007, co-owner Jack Roush has attempted to increase NASCAR exposure in the Northeast, using events such as this to introduce the sport to those outside the traditionally Southern fan base.

"Since we began our affiliation with Fenway Sports Group, our fan base has grown considerably in the New England area," Roush said in a news release. "Running at New Hampshire Motor Speedway is like being at a home track for us now, so we at Roush Fenway wanted to have an event for our fans in the area as well as create new fans by bringing the excitement of NASCAR to them."

Cars will be on display at City Hall Plaza beginning at 11:30 a.m., with the parade scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. and autograph sessions following at 1:15.
