The Providence Bruins announced Wednesday that gritty former right winger Terry O'Reilly will participate in the Bruins' Alumni Game on Nov. 13.

O'Reilly becomes the first player added to the roster for the Alumni Game, which will take place inside the Dunkin' Donuts Center in Providence, R.I.

O'Reilly spent 14 seasons in Boston with the Bruins after being taken by the B's in the first round of the 1971 NHL entry draft. Known for his physical style of play and penchant for dropping the gloves, O'Reilly racked up 2,095 penalty minutes in 891 career games, including a stretch of five seasons from 1978 to 1982 in which the bruiser amassed 200 PIM or more.

Despite being known more for his fisticuffs than for his scoring touch, O'Reilly finished his career with 606 points, including 204 goals and 402 assists. He led Boston in scoring in the 1977-78 season with 29 goals and 61 assists, a total of 90 points. The Bruins retired O'Reilly's No. 24 in 2002, making him the ninth player in franchise history to receive that distinction.

Over the next month the Providence Bruins will continue to announce players added to the alumni roster. To buy tickets for the alumni game check out ProvidenceBruins.com.
