Every home game, the Washington Nationals host a Presidents Race, during which mascot presidents Teddy Roosevelt, Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Thomas Jefferson race from the outfield along the warning track to the finish line in front of the Nationals dugout.

Teddy Roosevelt has never won the race, something that Nats outfielder Jayson Werth did his best to change on Sunday. With some help from the Nationals bullpen, Werth did his best to sabotage the race and get Teddy his first win before finally deciding to just win the race himself.
