If Rachel Uchitel‘s comments to the New York Post, admitting she was “almost happy” her fiance died in the Sept. 11, 2001 attacks seemed callous and heartless, Uchitel agrees.

Uchitel, the one-time top mistress of golfer Tiger Woods, plans to sue the Post over what she alleges were quotes taken out of context about her former husband-to-be, James Andrew O’Grady.

“It’s evil and it’s awful and it’s disgusting,” Uchitel told the New York Daily News. “The Post clearly wants people to hate me. If someone is talking about 9/11 and its victims like that, they shouldn’t give that person a voice. I’m speechless.”

Not entirely speechless, though. She had a few choice words for the Post.

“I really hope this gets cleared up so people won’t believe what the Post printed,” she added. “I feel awkward now even going down to Ground Zero, and that’s an awful position to have put me in. I want to say goodbye to Andy and honor him in an anonymous way, and I’m so resentful over them making me feel like I’m under attack.”

The Post’s full interview is due out in Thursday’s edition of Page Six Magazine.

QUOTE OF THE DAY

“[Buddy Ryan] brought us in the world of defense and I was fortunate enough to get with Bill Belichick, who’s fantastic — it’s like getting in there with Vince Lombardi. You’re going to learn something if you’re smart, and I am. I’ve been around the best defensive coaches to ever coach the game in those three, and I don’t know what the order is, but when you’ve got Buddy Ryan, Rex Ryan and Bill Belichick, those are a pretty good three.”
