An elderly woman in Pacific Beach, Calif., experienced the equivalent of discovering a yeti or chupacabra in her apartment when she awoke Friday morning and found a Chargers fan asleep on her couch.

The legendary “Chargers fan,” like the Loch Ness monster, is mostly a mythical beast that is seldom seen at Chargers home games at Qualcomm Stadium.

But an 81-year-old woman discovered an unknown man, estimated to be in his 20s, wearing a Chargers jersey and sleeping in her living room around 7:20 a.m. Friday, The San Diego Union-Tribune reports.

After having a good laugh and asking, “Hey, is the Abominable Snowman with him?” San Diego police reportedly went to the woman’s home and arrested the man on suspicion of being drunk in public.

The discovery of an actual, live Chargers fan is believed to be the most exciting discovery for cryptozoology since an image of Bigfoot was captured on the Patterson-Gimlin film in 1967.
