After the Collierville High School football team lost to Wooddale, leaving the Dragons in danger of missing the Tennessee state playoffs, coach Shawn Abel was mad — spitting mad.

Abel lit into his players with a profanity-laced tirade that at least one player taped and posted on YouTube. The blowback caused Abel to be placed on paid administrative leave. He later resigned from his coaching position.

Some have been critical of Abel's language used around high school students, while others, such as CNN contributor LZ Granderson, have called for Abel to be reinstated.
