Joe Paterno's Penn State Legacy Stained With Dishonor From Jerry Sandusky Scandal

The motto of Penn State's athletic program is "Success With Honor." It seems a litle strange now, doesn't it?

Joe Paterno's 46 years of leading young men at Penn State will forever be tarnished due to the ongoing Jerry Sandusky scandal that continues to worsen by the day.

While it was Sandusky who is at the heart of the child sex allegations, it was Paterno who built the system of the football program, which looks to have worked to cover up the horrific crimes that Sandusky is accused of committing.

Will O'Toole captures the contrast of the message versus reality in the cartoon above.

Since graduating from Seton Hall University, Will O'Toole has been doing cartoons for over 30 years for a number of papers (USA Today), magazines (College and Pro Football Weekly) and websites (CBSSportsline.com). He is believed to be the only national cartoonist to have voted for the Heisman Trophy and the Wooden and Naismith Awards.
