Kenny Dalglish Says Reds' Performance Against QPR Validates Liverpool's Approach (Video)

Kenny Dalglish sees his team's performance in Saturday's win over Queens Park Rangers as validation of the Liverpool way. The Reds' boss beamed when describing his side's domination of its newly-promoted opponent, according to LiverpoolFC.tv.

"Some of the football we played was brilliant in the first half," Dalglish said. "We will continue doing what we're doing. We cannot change our beliefs.

"It was an excellent performance, we made a lot of chances, we got one goal and they never got any. Three points for us — the points tally is no less than we deserved but maybe the goals tally was. But one is enough when the other team don't get an opportunity.

"The players showed great courage and belief to continue what we've been doing, and that's pass and move, get into the box and create chances – one day we're going to take them."

Monday's loss to Fulham was a massive disappointment to Liverpool. It ended an 11-game unbeaten run that stretched over two and a half months.

Dalglish was adamant that the Reds would start a new streak and deliver a positive performance in front of the Anfield crowd. Saturday's win eased concerns about their stuttering home form. It brought a run of four consecutive draws in front of the home crowd.

In his postgame interview, Dalglish took a wider view of Liverpool's season. He said its results — 26 points from 15 games — are not an accurate reflection of the soccer his team has played this season.

"There's only been one game this year, where I think we've not deserved three points … and that was at Tottenham," he said.
